Minutes
  1. President Jim Franklin called the meeting to order at 9:00am


  2. Jim Franklin and Bill Markley gave an update on the 5-hour ONIC Retreat. Discussions included sign blades, goals, vacation homes ordinance. ONIC decided to waive current 2 month wait time to organize. Consider streets for resurfacing that tour buses regularly use. May 10th picnic at Ruth Hardy Park. April 12th Garden Walk.


  3. Minutes from the January 12, 2008 meeting were approved. Motion by Bill, seconded by Sean. Passed unanimously.


  4. Financial report was given by Tom Fitzgerald. $725 in bank. Website and PO box still unpaid. Financial report was approved. Motion by Sean, seconded by Bill. Passed unanimously. Tom will send application to City of Palm Springs to request $250 in administration fees. Finance Department at City of PS said no taxes need to be filed. Tom will confirm this. Tom will also talk to Nancy Stuart about the monthly fee of $25 being charge on the RHPNO bank account.


  5. Membership Committee reported 32 paid members. Jim, then Paul, to contact interested people from contact forms about membership.


  6. March Meeting and Cocktail Party will be held on March 29, 2008 from 5-8pm at the RHPNO Clubhouse. $5 suggested donation. Free for members. Invitation will ask for RSVP. Look for mailing sponsor, cocktails/snack sponsor. Paul to send us each Excel list without vacant properties.


  7. Historical Committee- No report. Paul Van Nies interested in helping.


  8. Bill Markley reported that he has added a Committees Page to the website. Also various sign designs and a poll are now posted.


  9. Under New Business some changes to the Bylaws were discussed. Quorum rules are not defined and there is no mechanism for the removal of an Advisor for cause by a majority of the Advisor Board. Jim will find out how these changes can be made. Jim is also going to talk to Ann Leiboh about chairing a Dog Walking Committee.


  10. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00.
