Advisors present: Tom Fitzgerald, Jim Franklin, Bill Markley, Joy Meredith, Nancy Stuart, Paul Zapala.

Advisors absent: Sean Warren.

Minutes
  1. President Jim Franklin called the meeting to order at 9:00am


  2. Report on the ONI Meeting. (Bill Markley)
    • Tammy Perezchica, new downtown administrator, was the guest speaker.
    • Araby Cove has formed a new neighborhood.
    • ONI Picnic cost $4000.
    • Sign discussion will be coming up at City Council.


  3. Minutes from the February 16, 2008 meeting were approved with one change. Sean was going to talk to Ann Leiboh, not Jim.


  4. Financial Report was given by Tom Fitzgerald.
    $975 in bank. $250 still in process.
    Everyone needs to bring in stamp receipts.


  5. Membership Committee report (Paul Zapala):
    38 paid members. Over 600 households in RHPNO area


  6. Social Event:
    40 people are coming to the March 29, 2008 party so far.
    Jim will make membership cards.
    Jim will buy liquor.
    Bill will buy beer.
    Bill and Paul will work on new welcome sign.
    Paul will work at the front door soliciting memberships. The signup sheet will have a place for emails.
    Joy will email Restaurant Association for food donation.


  7. Historical Committee:
    Joy Meredith presented some information on Ruth Hardy found at the Palm Springs Historical Society.
    Ruth Hardy bought the Burge Estate which later became the Ingleside Inn.


  8. New Business:
    Colony of El Mirador is not part of RHPNO.
    Nancy commented on 2 items requiring attention. One was that Ruth Hardy Park looked shabby and was in need of maintenance. The other was the new traffic engineering at Sunrise and Vista Chino near Stater Brothers.
    Everyone agreed it is a big inconvenience.


  9. Next meeting: Saturday, April 12th, 9:00am @ the Clubhouse (1091 Paseo El Mirador).


  10. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00am.
