Minutes
  1. President Jim Franklin called the meeting to order at 9:00am


  2. Public Comments: Mr. & Mrs. White reported the house at 1507 San Jacinto is in deplorable condition and need help getting the city to respond.


  3. Bill Markley and Jim Franklin reported on the ONI Meeting. 5 new neighborhood organizations. May 2l study session on rental homes to be discussed with City Manager David Ready, City Attorney Doug Holland. Neighborhood Picnic May 10 at Ruth Hardy Park. Jim and Biil to help at check in. Jim also reported we should all vote No on DWA increase. Rose Garden is giving out low voltage bulbs for security.


  4. Minutes approved. Tom/Nancy.


  5. Financial Report approved Joy/Nancy. Cash in bank $401.24. Approved for reimbursement- Paul (signs $52.80), Jim (postcards $327.45) Tom needs receipts for reimbursement. Nancy working on removing bank charges.


  6. Membership Committee reported 51 paid members. Paul is handling data. Associate memberships will be discussed. Warner Cable may be interested.


  7. Code enforcement to be made aware of illegal signs in the neighborhood.


  8. Code enforcement is working on abandoned properties in the neighborhood.


  9. Next party June 7 from 7-9pm. Flyer made to vote on changing name. We'll pass out door to door. 8:30 ballot announcement. Motion made (Jay/Barbara) $250 for food for party. October meeting discuss bylaw changes. December will be annual meeting. Sign up sheet at door.


  10. Nancy commented on Ruth Hardy Park condition and that maintenance trucks are making a mess in park. Joy to report to Park and Recreation commission.


  11. Tammy Franklin needs names of people she photographed at party.


  12. Palm Tree trimming an Wed. City Council agenda.


  13. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00am.
