Minutes
- President Jim Franklin called the meeting to order at 9:00am
- Public Comments: None
- Jim and Bill gave a report on ONIC meeting.
- Jim will forward ONIC minutes.
- Barbara will be ONIC alternate.
- Blades signs going up in Movie Colony and EI Mirador.
- ONI having meeting about downtown Nov 20 at Mizell Center.
- Police assigned to 2 beat officers to neighborhood.
- COPS need volunteers and are asking for one person from each neighborhood to donate 144 hours per year.
- Vacation Rental and Event House Ordinance at council Wed.
- Code enforcement is acting on vacant houses.
- Earthquake simulation Nov 13.
- Minutes approved. Barbara/Paul (Joy abstained for absence)
- Financial Report was given by Jim.
- $493.53 in bank.
- $25 charge will be reversed.
- Membership Report was given by Paul.
- 11 new members with 62 paid.
- Maybe magnets or something else could be a member perk.
- The Neighborhood Party will be held Nov 15 from 7-9.
- Board meeting will be same day at 5pm.
- Barbara organizing.
- Paul making flyer.
- Menu-shrimp, ham, potato salad, etc.
- Annual Meeting will be Dec 6 at l0:00am to handle business and board elections.
- Some of the issues to be discussed at Annual Meeting:
- burying power lines
- street blades
- CERT Training
- expanding boundaries to include Raymond Cree School
- associate member category
- Subcommittees are as follows:
- Historical/Joy
- Social/Barbara
- Financial/Tom
- Safety/Joy
- Other items discussed included:
- the lateness of the minutes (sorry)
- neighborhood watch
- mile markers
- pools being emptied into street
- guest speakers
- taxi parking in front yard
- problematic San Jacinto house
- The meeting was adjourned at 9:50am.
