Minutes
- President Jim Franklin called the meeting to order at 9:00am
- Public Comments: None
- Palm Springs Police representatives lead by Lt. John Booth gave an update on the PSPD. They are
returning to the more effective 'Beat' system rather than the 'hot spot' system they have used for the
past few years. This gives each neighborhood the opportunity to work more closely with the officers in
their beat and vice versa. RHPNO is Beat 2. Neighborhood Leadership Academy November 22 will deal with
graffiti, gangs, hate crimes. Project Lifesaver is for at risk adults and seniors. They get trackable
bracelets to help find those that can wander off. PSPD website is www.pspd.com for more information.

- Representatives from PSNIC discussed organizational support from PSNIC. They can help train how to
run an organization. PSNIC mission is to organize neighborhoods. Two way communication and new members are
most important.
- Minutes approved. Paul/Barbara
- Financial Report was given by Nancy. $463.53 in bank.
- Membership Report was given by Paul. No new members. Memberships are per calendar year.
- Annual Meeting will be Dec 6 at l0:00am to handle business and board elections. Jim will set agenda.
Some of the issues to be discussed at Annual Meeting may include: burying power lines, street blades,
CERT Training, expanding boundaries to include Raymond Cree School, associate member category. Street
Blades will be shown at the next meeting.
- The meeting was adjourned at 6:00pm. The mixer began immediately following.
